What is an MOT?
In the UK, all vehicles over 3 years old are legally required to undergo an annual safety check, known as an MOT, to ensure road safety and environmental standards. It is the owner’s responsibility to renew their MOT certificate. Without it, you cannot legally drive your vehicle or renew your road fund license.
The earliest date you can MOT your vehicle is shown on your last MOT certificate. However, you can have an MOT test completed up to one month before the expiry of your current MOT without affecting the annual expiry date.
The MOT process is governed by strict rules set by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). This means that the checks we perform at Kennings are the same as those conducted at other approved MOT centres.
MOT prices will vary according to each Kennings Centre. If a price is not displayed on this page, please call the centre to find out more.
